Fun Times

Sorry that it has been so long since we have posted anything, there really hasn't been too much exciting going on around here. So for the month of August here is the shake down. Cameron and I celebrated our 5th year of marriage and I can't believe that it has been 5 years. This year has been a real doozy but we are getting through it all. Things are pretty much back to normal now with Jesse. Except for having to give him medicine everyday, religiously, he is a normal typical 14 month old. He got the feeding tube out about a month ago and has been doing well. He has been maintaining and slowly gaining the weight that he needs. He still needs to drink pediasure to make sure that he gets enough calories in a day but he doesn't seem to mind one bit. It makes it easier giving him medicine anyway. It masks the flavor of them so he drinks them right down. He also got the PIC line removed that was in his arm. The doctors said that they only wanted to do lab work twice a month and once a month get the necessary medicine, so after discussing it with them we decided that getting poked twice a month is better than having the PIC line in so we took it out. And he has been a real super hero when he does get his blood taken. He doesn't cry just a little whimper when they stick in the needle but that is it. He is such a tough little boy. It has been really nice to be able to put him right into the bathtub if need be and not have to worry about the dressing getting wet or cutting off circulation when I wrap his arm too tight. Jesse also started swimming lessons at the YMCA once a week. He loves the water so we thought that is would a good idea to get him oriented to it early to make sure he never develops a fear of it like some kids do. He has started crawling too! I just took off one day and hasn't looked back. I think its because we were at a friend's house one night for dinner and their daughter is crawling and he was like I so can do this. So that is what I do all day is try and keep him out of everything, especially the bathroom and the dog's food. Which he doesn't seem to bothered by the flavor.

We went to the Zoo last weekend and had a really good day. The weather was really perfect for going to the zoo because it wasn't too hot and not too cool. The zoo is pretty big and it took us a good chunk of the day to see everything. But we are all doing well and enjoying being here in Cincinnati.
