A Good Ending to 2010

video

To start this blog off right I thought that I would post something that is truly remarkable to me. Jesse is now walking! He is a miracle all by himself but he is walking and doing fabulous! Cam and I are truly so blessed to have this little guy in our life! We don't know what we would do without him. He brings us such joy with everything that he learning and overcoming.

I guess to get everyone caught up I will start where I left off. October came and went and then it was on to November. We had a pretty mellow month until the end when we all got the flu and boy was it bad. But we did have a good Thanksgiving with just us at home which was wonderful. I made a huge turkey and tried out a new way to baste it and it turned out so yummy. Jesse had another CT scan done to see what his insides were doing from being on his medicine. And things are doing well. The doctors are very pleased with the progress he is making and they hope that every patient they have responds how he has. They will start to wean him from his medication starting in February and so we will see how everything goes with that. December has come and gone and with it, it brought a vacation back to Utah. Jesse and I left on the 13th and flew out to visit with our family. We left Louisville early Monday morning and made it in and out of Chicago without any delay. And the best part of that was that Jesse slept the whole way form Chicago to Salt Lake City.

We had a great time with the family and Jesse got to know his cousins better. He has three cousins one a year older, Kaleb, one the same age, Alexander, and one a year younger, Peyton. He wasn't sure what to do with them at first but he soon realized that he could play with them. They just ended up taking toys form each other but there were a few good moments that they played nicely with each other. Give them a few years and then they will be good friends that are going to get into so much trouble together. Jesse and Kaleb are the master minds and Alexander is the daredevil. It will be fun to watch them over the years.

We had a great Christmas with our family. Cameron flew in on the 24th and we spent that night and Christmas morning with his family. We had an awesome dinner and good breakfast with them. And Jesse LOVED opening up all the presents. He even started opening the presents that weren't his. We then went up and spent the rest of the day with my family. We had a great dinner with the whole family and then we had present time where the kids went crazy but only because it was nap time. So the adults finished unwrapping all the gifts and then we had a good rest of the day together. Cam and I got to go to a movie that night and it was so good.

Then it was Cameron's birthday and we went to an art exhibit at BYU and then it was off the the Brick Oven for some of the yummiest pizza in Utah. And the most wonderful root beer. Jesse loves it too. Then we spent the rest of our vacation just hanging out with both our families. We did have a great experience while we were there. Cameron's sister Rachel went through he temple and it was amazing because the whole family was there. His parents and his two sisters. We were so glad to be able to have gone out and spent so much time with our family.
